CFCR was founded to build a high-performing clinical research site that the Triangle’s patients, practices, and sponsors can rely on for the long term.
Our story

Why we built this

Clinical research works best when experienced teams, trusted physicians, and local communities remain connected. CFCR brings those pieces together in one standalone Raleigh site with the infrastructure to run studies end to end and the local relationships to recruit thoughtfully.
We are focused on depth in one geography. That means direct accountability, deep and stable relationships, and a long-term commitment to the patients and practices that make research possible. Through the Community Impact Fund, a meaningful portion of study revenue also supports local health initiatives across the Triangle.
What guides us

Four principles behind every decision we make.

Trust supports enrollment and retention.

Ads and call centers generate screens. They cannot generate the kind of trust that reduces no-shows, improves retention, and makes a site worth returning to study after study.

Quality requires direct accountability.

The best data comes from sites where the people responsible for a study also care most about its outcome. Decisions here are made by people close to the work, not by outside owners.

Practice partnerships should be flexible and low burden.

Too many research models extract from the practices they partner with. We built ours to do the opposite. Partners contribute access. We carry every operational burden.

Research should create a visible local benefit.

The communities that provide patient access deserve to benefit from research directly. Our Community Impact Fund is the structural mechanism for that commitment.
